I had really good luck with a place called “carls acres of trailers” . They are out of Encino California and their staff was very helpful in finding some very old gasket material even though I didn’t know exactly what I needed. They were able to find it and shipped it very fast. good luck with your project. we are rebuilding a 1979 coleman Rebel very cute Little camper. Zella

i am looking for tips on a 82 coleman pop up it needs a lot of work i just got it two weeks ago and the top is leaking bad the wood in the top is all most gone and the slicone is busted up and cracked bad would it be best to take the top off and repair the inside or leave it on there my email is racing48@live.com if you could taake the time to help me out i would be very thankful

Wow Kurt! You've got some serious time and effort into that Rockwood! Good job. You should write up an article about that with some pics and send it to the RVHobby guys. I'd like to see that.

I bought a 1989 rockwood driftwood 34 ft with 70k on the clock. It had a 4000 dollar paint job on the outside. I paid 4000 for it. I have put a complete new rubber roof on it, along with all new vents, skylight, etc… Now I have most of the interer out, in the bathroom I have put new flooring, tub, surround, toilet sink, and beadboard paneling. Also new formica throughout the entire coach. Rear wall in bedroom has beadboard on the back wall, and the other walls are painted a heavy cream. Getting ready to wallpaper rest of the coach. I have new wood vinal plank flooring for the coach. new cook top new faucets throughout in brushed nickel. the front overhead has been redone with a swing out flat screen mount so you can pull the TV out and view it on the couch. I have done a lot more already but not listed. Much more to go I hope to be done within a month, at that point I have put in aprox 300 hours into the renovation.
