When we are full timing in the RV…. we need extra room for the kids to go to. Somewhere in the shade.. but not really out in the weather. Somewhere that has a table and some space for them to do their thing, give us all a little breathing room.

We decided to provide this extra space, we need a Β reliable shelter/canopy set up. Here is a picture of one at Walmart.com, that is under $150 and has received some great reviews!

Coleman Max 10' x 10' Instant Shelter Canopy

When we make our decision and ultimately our purchase we will do a practice run to make sure it will fit what we need it to fit. It will be set up outside the coach doors and will have a pic nic table in it, as well as our little ones toy box and play kitchen set. There will also be some lighting for when we are enjoying the night air.

Another pro to this is the protection from the mosquitoes! Last year.. we were eaten alive every night! Those bugs were the size of dragon flies by the time they moved on from our family! lol….

This particular product shown has privacy screening, which we really like for sun screening depending on the weather. Here in Arizona it’s not always just about being hot. It can get cold.. and it does get really windy!

Will keep you posted on what we decide to get, the specs and how it works out!

Replacing the RV Toilet

by JessJuly 12, 2009

So we had to replace the toilet. The seals were old and cracked. They were leaking water, not pouring, but leaking. A slow and steady sort of leak. We had to put a towel down around the base and within 3-4 days it was sopping wet.

Get your paper mail while you’re on the road. Have it “electronically” forwarded!
If you’ve ever hit the asphalt ocean for any period of time you know how hard it is to keep up with the paper mail while you’re gone. Unfortunately you can’t hitch up your mailman and bring your mail along with you. More [...]

by JessApril 9, 2009

Cleanliness Space is next to Godliness in your RV
Today I want to share with you my thoughts on our RV shower. In our case… we don’t use it… well, not in the typical sense. Some RV’ers do use their showers and some do not. We happen to be of the mind that if the place [...]

One question that seems to pop up quite often on the various forums is how to secure pictures to the wall of your RV.

Painting the Interior Walls of Your RV

by JimFebruary 27, 2009

One of the most asked questions I get is how to paint interior walls on an RV. As most interiors come from the manufacture in stark white, it is only natural for one to want to personalize their RV and one of the best ways to do that is a coat of paint. That being [...]

The Elemental Essence of Debris Elimination
If you’ve recently changed out your RV carpeting for a hard surface floor, you may find yourself doing a lot more sweeping!Β  It’s surprising how much sand and soil came off your shoes, then hid in the pile of the carpet.Β  But with hard surface flooring

Vinyl Trafficmaster Allure flooring, a great alternative to carpet in your RV

by JimNovember 12, 2008

Many folks and a few manufacturers are coming around to the practicality of hard surface flooring throughout their RVs. Inevitably, the carpeting in most trailers end up soiled, stained, or matted to the point that no amount of vacuuming or shampooing will bring it back to its original condition. The best you can do in [...]
